Experience and tradition
In the early 1900s, Séraphin Franco established our workshop together with the family shop.
We have kept the tradition alive by staying true to our values and continuing the business with experienced professionals. Today, we create custom-built, high-end frames that combine depth, gold-leaf gilding and patina. As framing specialists, we are here to support you and offer our expert, professional advice.

The frames
In our workshop, we make keyed stretcher frames to your specifications, using premium spruce and selecting different moulding sections according to size. We can create frames up to four metres long using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, with a choice of formats and finishes.
Products 100% Made in France!
The wood used for our frames and the canvases we offer is sourced exclusively in France from forests managed with respect for ecological balance. Each canvas is prepared and hand-coated in France, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
The specifics of what we do
Serving artists for over a century, we carry out a wide variety of work, including mounting artworks on canvas or card, mounting painted canvases on stretcher frames, cleaning engravings and removing old varnishes. We also offer frame restoration services and the restoration of paintings with holes, tears or staining. Gilding frames with gold leaf has been one of our specialities for many years, always carried out with full respect for the works and their unique qualities. Contact us to find out more.
FRAMING
Throughout every stage of framing, we work exclusively with HQC (High Quality Conservation) materials to guarantee the longevity of your artwork. We use Tru Vue glass, which is museum-quality and UV-resistant. Its anti-reflective properties and 99% light transmission rate make it almost invisible.
Although Maison Franco has been around for a very long time and we uphold tradition, we are always looking for new materials and fresh concepts.
